Blair MalcolmManaging Director

As founder of Recon Security, Blair brings the ideal mix of management and technical expertise to his role as MD, with over 25 years of practical security and military experience. Blair is responsible for the client relationship and commercial management of contracts which includes ensuring that financial and quality requirements are met.

Pat AversAuckland Operations Manager

Boasting 20 years’ experience as a security guard, supervisor and manager, Pat is responsible for the operational and supervisory services for Recon Security’s contracts in Auckland. Bringing a solid blend of management and technical expertise to his team, Pat spends a lot of time out in the field with his team, giving him a clear understanding of contract requirements and areas that require improvement.

Denis RoetsWellington Operations Manager

Denis joined Recon’s Executive Management Team in 2017, bringing with him more than 30 years of experience in the security industry as well as a wealth of commercial relationships. Denis is a huge asset with the ability to fully understand client requirements and lead an effective, efficient team to produce positive outcomes throughout the Wellington region.

Peter JonesSales Manager

Peter’s 15 years in the security business is defined by outstanding customer service and account management. He is highly adept at quickly gaining a clear understanding of customer’s needs and developing solutions that best meet their requirements. It’s this personal touch and relationship building that leads to a long-term alliance between the client and Recon Security. Peter makes himself available as the first point of contact for the clients throughout their contract, and remains involved to problem-solve and develop or change the contract as necessary.

David ChamberlainBusiness Development Manager (Auckland)

With over 30 years’ experience in the Auckland security market, David is an integral asset to Recon Security. With a deserved reputation for honesty and integrity, David’s skillset is broad and varied, encompassing account management, resource coordination, security vetting, sales, security risk assessment and an exhaustive knowledge of NZ Security legislation. David’s comprehensive understanding of security operations, paired with his passion for the industry, make him an invaluable member of the management team, whilst his commitment to meeting client’s needs is epitomised by his ability to go above and beyond to reach the best possible outcomes.

Andrew SwainBusiness Development Manager (Wellington)

Andrew has had significant experience, spanning in excess of 10 years, within the security industry and is able to leverage his sales experience and passion for security solutions to help businesses reduce their risk and improve overall security. Andrew specialises in identifying and implementing effective solutions security guards & patrol solutions.

Karin SayerFinancial Controller

As Financial Controller, Karin is fully involved with managing all aspects of Recon’s financial transactions and accounting procedures, and holds responsibility for the management of the Technical Division, providing training and mentoring to staff.

Rik AndersonGeneral Manager

Bringing in excess of 15 years operational / logistics experience, developed through a customer centric lens across a broad spectrum of delivery outcomes including hospitality, security, infrastructure, human resources and personnel management, Rik’s focus as Recon Security General Manager is on our business purpose, vision, and values. Additionally, Rik brings an invigorating passion for supporting and developing future talent.
