Blair MalcolmManaging Director
As founder of Recon Security, Blair brings the ideal mix of management and technical expertise to his role as MD, with over 25 years of practical security and military experience. Blair is responsible for the client relationship and commercial management of contracts which includes ensuring that financial and quality requirements are met.
Tom Moody Wellington Service Delivery Manager
With over 15 years’ experience in management, and 7 years in the security industry, Tom is responsible for leading our effective and efficient team to produce positive outcomes throughout the Wellington region. Tom has a demonstrated history of working knowledge in the security industry with a background in Operations Management. At Recon he provides an excellent understanding of customer service and client requirements that is well-reflected in his leadership skills.
Max AversaAuckland Operations Manager
Max has experience in client management and service delivery, with a deep knowledge in complex security operations management, both overseas and in New Zealand. This includes maritime, aviation and behaviour analysis, with level 4 qualification in operations management. At Recon, Max oversees our service delivery in the Auckland region, overlooking quality control, operations and other compliance needs. Max’s priority is people, which is why his goal within our company is to keep Recon competitive as we continue to grow into the larger market in Auckland. Honest and open-minded, Max has the relevant experience and talent to see Recon continue to succeed.
Peter JonesSales Manager
With more than 20 years in the security industry, Peter is widely regarded as an expert in his field. His broad spectrum of experience includes work in Residential, Business, Commercial, Industrial, Government and Education. Peter specialises in Alarm systems / CCTV systems / Access control / Smoke & Fire detection / Lone worker GPRS devices / Alarm monitoring / Guard Services – mobile patrols / static guards / event security. Testimony to this is the ongoing long-term relationships he maintains to this day with customers that stretches back over the years. He works with an old school approach – gaining an understanding of customers issues then offering the best solutions, with honesty and professionalism.
David ChamberlainBusiness Development Manager (Auckland)
With over 30 years experience in the Auckland security market, David has never lost his passion for the industry. With a deserved reputation for honesty and integrity, David’s skillset is broad and varied, encompassing account management, resource coordination, security vetting, sales, security risk assessment and an exhaustive knowledge of Health and Safety regulations. His commitment to meeting client’s needs is complemented by his comprehensive understanding of security operations, and dedication to the industry, making him an invaluable member of the management team.
Andrew SwainBusiness Development Manager (Auckland)
As the Business Development Manager of Recon Wellington, Andrew is committed to helping businesses reduce their risk and improve overall security. He makes the most of his sales experience and passion for the industry, creating opportunities to find the best solutions for our client’s needs. With a hard-working, positive attitude, Andrew is always there to take care of customers by identifying and implementing effective solutions.
Rik AndersonGeneral Manager
Since March 2019 Recon Security’s General Manager, Rik, has been focused on client-based initiatives involving improving operational efficiency and optimizing new technologies to advance the company. With over 30 years in NZ Defence, Rik brings operational and logistics experience, with a broad spectrum of delivery outcomes including hospitality, security, infrastructure, human resources and personnel management. Rik has a passionate and honest approach which has made him an invaluable addition to Recon Security.
Brian PatchFinancial Manager
Brian has a diverse set of skills after 30 years in finance, spending 10 years in London in the British Council financial sector and the last 18 years as a Share broker’s Finance Manager. With a vision of simplification, accuracy and accountability, Brian is responsible for the financial management of the business, and is fully involved in managing all aspects of Recon’s financial transactions and accounting procedures.
Chantel Fisher Business Development Manager (Wellington)
With sales experience spanning over 20 years, and a background in management and public relations, Chantel is dedicated to ensuring our clients are taken care of, from start to finish. At Recon, Chantel takes care of electronic, guard and patrol sales, and secures the best solutions to any requirements our customers may have. Client retention is extremely important to Chantel, meaning she will strive for excellence in finding a solution for any security need.
