Did you know that work-related fatality statistics here in New Zealand are three times as high as the UK and nearly twice as high as Australia?

The Health and Safety at Work Act Regulations are intended to support businesses to assist in understanding what is required to comply with the general duties of the Act. On December 1 2017, the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations come into effect. In anticipation of these changes, Recon has appointed Working Wise as our new Health and Safety policy consultant to improve our systems so it reflects the regulations. This means, we can better eliminate risks and provide our security guards with peace of mind that they are well looked after.

Workplace safety is important and implementing an effective Health and Safety programme for your workplace is one of the best decisions a company can make. When a workplace is safe, employees feel more comfortable and are happier in that environment. Absenteesism caused by injury decreases and productivity increases. This means better customer service and more satisfied customers.
