Recon Security has been closely monitoring the situation with COVID-19 Coronavirus. At present, we are assuming that we are deemed as an essential service under the guidelines administered by the NZSA (March, 2020) and as such we will continue to provide security services to our clients during the Level 4 Alert Level. This being said, our security guards, security technicians, security consultants, and monitoring operators will still be in operation.
Amidst the elevated health risks of the pandemic, we must also consider the criminal advantage that will inevitably take place during New Zealand’s lock-down. Public facilities such as libraries, universities and schools are likely to be an easy target for offenders. More so, commercial stores and businesses that have been shut-down and vacated during lock-down will also be a likely target. When considering these factors, Recon have devised new methods of operation and system-delivery that will adhere to these needs, thus reducing the opportunity for unsupervised criminal activity.
If your premises must be vacant during this lock-down, we can provide added security with mobile patrols or even round-the-clock guards to remain on-site to further protect your business. We have provided our guards the appropriate protective gear including facial masks, glasses, and gloves to ensure their safety and yours.
